Rich people doing rich things, Aliza's new show, and a 2024 recap
Links we sent our friends #80
Happy Monday! Before this week’s links, a quick 2024 recap…
We shared 51 editions of links we’ve sent our friends — often featuring special guests and their links, including
’s favorite pants, ’s crowd-pleasing dessert, and ’s potential wedding flats:We interviewed more than two dozen inspiring women, including
, Claire and Erica from , and :And we adopted the slogan, “by friends, for friends,” after we ran an entire series devoted to adult friendships:1
We’re proud of the stories we’ve shared and the community we’re building — and so, so grateful you’ve chosen to read Platonic Love. 💛 Now for our penultimate LWSOF of the year…
Aliza’s Links:
Excited to binge this new TV show during Christmas week. The cast is so good!
I carried my grande fanny bag (a wonderful gift from my mom) nearly every day for the past six months — but entering puffy jacket season in Boston meant it was time to swap it out for a bag with a longer strap. I rediscovered an old Madewell cross-body bag in the back of my closet (similar to this one), which has elevated my winter uniform a bit.

I know it’s late… But this would be such a good stocking stuffer. (I don’t do stockings since we’re Jewish, but I’m ordering them for myself anyway.) (Aja: Ooh, I want these too. Please follow up once they’ve arrived.)
I can’t believe how old the Moana 2 composer is. Such a cool story.

This IG account is bringing me a lot of joy.
If you like “rich people doing rich things” (I do), read about the $40 million beach club that just opened in Santa Monica. Laura Dern and Cindy Crawford are apparently very excited.
I bought a pair of wide-legged velvet pants a few years ago that I’m always excited to bring out for holiday parties. COS has a very similar pair if you’re looking for an easy/comfortable/festive outfit.
Ahahaha honest family Christmas cards.
Question we asked our friends:
Last week during our sushi date, Aja asked me if I was setting any New Year’s resolutions, and while I kinda want to skip them this year… the type-A in me knows I probably will commit to a few. Or at least I’ll create a 2025 Bingo Card, a tradition we started last year after my friend Margie inspired me. It gave me a format to home in on my real priorities (like going on more frequent date nights with Sam and cutting down on screen time) — and I felt unexpectedly accomplished when I looked back at the year (I’d forgotten the Platonic Love subscriber milestone I included on my card, which we ended up absolutely cruising past.)
What about you? Will you be setting resolutions? Focus words? Picking a theme? Or letting the year be what it will?

That led to multiple new friendships IRL!
I (Aliza) spent my college summers in NYC — and I’m pretty sure I’ll never find a better bagel than Absolute’s.
Def buried the lead on passing your subscriber goal !!!!
Early wood products are the best. We use that straight spatula and the tiny spoon allll the time. We also are mean to it and put it in the dishwasher which you are not supposed to do but I can’t get my husband untrained from that. It’s already hard enough not having him put the chefs knife in there 😑 highest of recommend though!
