I absolutely NEED to know more about those FP pants; are we ordering our true size?!

Expand full comment

Yes, I ordered true to size! They're the perfect amount of baggy, imho

Agree - same question. How are you styling them. What shoes. Etc.

Good q! I've mostly worn them with sandals and sneaks (converse, usually) but I wore them out to a bar w/ a cute top and heeled booties on Friday night too!

yes, and are we wearing them slung low on our hips like that?!

Expand full comment

Nah, they fit me more like a normal mid-rise!

Haha so no visible boxer shorts a la the website?

Jumping in to say: I own two Dehanche belts and they are WORKS OF ART. I'm obsessed with them. Like jewelry for your pants!

Ahhhh this is adding fuel to the fire. I want!!

DEFINITELY a solo dinner with a book. Preferably at a seat with good people watching too.

I got a manicure in williamsburg, bk on friday afternoon and it was the most relaxing / BEST people watching ever. I could've sat in that seat, listening to christmas music, and watching people stroll by the giant front windows all night...

Love love love solo people watching. It's so immersive and weirdly poignant!

I love a midnight baking hour--feels so fun to have a sweet treat to wake up to the next day (whether I do the dishes as I bake is questionable but I try to)!

Amy I loooove this! Do you have a go-to recipe, or is it more "how the spirit moves you"?

Expand full comment

yes! Hetty McKinnon's black sesame banana bread (from her book To Asia, With Love) if I have bananas on hand (I stashed a bag of powdered black sesame on hand to save that step as I was making it SO often) or Genevieve Ko's oatmeal chocolate chip cookies from NYT cooking--healthy-ish baking that work as fun ways to start your day or gift to friends you're seeing that week. Any loaf/one pan cake really or drop cookie! I feel like I started this during covid with my all-hours sourdough bread proofing but there's just something special about not working late but that secret, stolen revenge time for yourself.

I am so excited about reading these solo activities! I love getting out of the house to hang with a loved one, but I am working on making more plans to leave the house just for ME!

I do love a long walk or a bookstore visit. I want to add more activities to my "solo hang toolbox" :)

love thinking of this as a toolbox! so fun.

I ride motorcycles and always prefer a solo ride. Riding around with no plan, stopping at whatever I find interesting...The best!
