Hi! Aliza here. For my birthday last month, Sam gave me this incredible journal slash calendar.¹ We started using it as a gratitude journal — every night, we each write down a few things that made us happy that day. I’ve been a fairly consistent solo journaler since my teens, but there’s something about doing it together that feels really intimate and like the perfect daily capstone.

4. I need to quickly finish Patrick Radden Keefe’s best-selling book so that I can watch the new Say Nothing miniseries on FX with Sam. (I can rarely go back to the book after I’ve watched the show or movie — even if the book is better. Anyone else?) (Aja: Absolutely.)

1. I’ve been trying to get an appointment with this tattoo artist for years now — her work is truly stunning.

2. Bodega Cats is my favorite Instagram account of the moment. (I mean!)

3. Has anyone else noticed Buck Mason is having a real moment? I bought this shirt on the way to meet my friend for dinner. She showed up wearing this beautiful sweater — which she said she’d bought the day before and was obsessed with. And then I saw a man walk into the restaurant holding his own Buck Mason bag. 

4. I’m not gonna buy these jeans. That would be crazy. But they felt really, really good when I tried them on. (Aliza: What about this similar but much more affordable pair?)

2. The Moleskine sketchbook (not journals) are my favorite because they don’t have lines. But I know that’s a controversial opinion.

3. Fun fact: I’ve still never been to the Books are Magic store, but they have some of the best merch for bookworms! Jennifer included one of their baseball caps in her roundup; I got Aja this purple beanie for her birthday last year and have been tempted multiple times to get myself a matching one. (Aja: I love my beanie!! It reminds me of Harold’s purple crayon.)
