The last thing I watched on the airplane was The Holiday — on the screen of the person sitting diagonally in front of me.

Lol that's always a fun plane activity. I watched the middle of The Titanic coming back from CA on someone else's screen.

I have a knack for picking airplane movies that make me cry. Sometimes full out weep, no shame. This past flight (two weeks ago as I returned home for the holidays), I watched Inside Out 2 and Muppets Christmas Carol. And yes I cried at both 😂😭

I’ve been saving Inside Out 2 for a good cry day!!

I read somewhere that you cry more easily on planes! Blame the altitude!

Omg I believe this!

On my last flight I watched the newest “Twister.” When I flew to/from France in October I watched mostly French films. I mostly try to watch movies that I don’t have on any of my streaming services.

I also watched the new Twister on my last flight and I've been obsessed with the soundtrack since then! Never seen the original so I'm not sure if it's really a great movie or I was simply entertained by relief from boredom

Good idea, I thought the movie was great but haven’t listened to the soundtrack! My husband and I rewatched the original shortly before seeing the new one which was fun.

Aliza - Did you and your husband have a preference over which Twister y’all preferred ? I wouldn’t mind seeing the 90s version, since it came out maybe when I was four.

Rachel - I thought it was good (and a distraction from an extremely delayed flight causing anxiety on potentially missing my connecting flight) ! I honestly didn’t pay too much attention to the soundtrack, but what do you like about it ?

I'm a country fan so I like a lot of the upbeat / hard rock country songs on it :)

Thanks for sharing, Lori! I talked to my doctor before starting & recommend anyone w/concerns do the same.

Oooh, you’re right. Those also feel more like a classic (but slightly more elevated) LL Bean knock off…

Oh totally - the vibe is “What if LL Bean but somehow 4x as much… but wirh a little je ne sais qua?”

I have to say I saw a lot of them in Paris and I thought they were very cute!!

I hate to admit it but I've never listened to a podcast and I have no idea where to start. Any recommendations for who offers services to podcasts to listen might make a good idea for a post? I'm most likely a bit older than the bulk of your readers (I'm retired) but please help a gal out.

I’m not a huge podcast listener but I LOVE “Wiser Than Me” with Julia Louis-Dreyfus. She’s in her 60s and speaks to famous women who are older (and wiser) than her. Julie Andrews, Billie Jean King, Carol Burnett, Amy Tan, and more! They share about their careers, love, aging bodies, etc. I always soak up their wisdom during each episode!

+1 on this rec! It’s one of my favorites — I hope she does a third season.

I'm headed to a wedding in the San Luis Obispo this year! Been wanting to do a road trip or even a train trip. Much like hotel Christmas (agreed, so romantic!) I feel hours on an overnight train could be just as cinematic?
