Hey friends! It’s Aja. I just got back from Mexico City, where I enjoyed a lot of tacos, incredible art and architecture, balmy weather, and, on my last full day… a bout of food poisoning. Still a 10/10 trip.
Onto the links!

One of my favorite tricks at the moment is going back to old “best books” lists — like this 2014 one from NPR — because there are tons of books I missed, and I don’t need to get on a mile-long library waitlist to check them out. I just started How to Be Both by Ali Smith.
Some good Uniqlo basics are on sale for Black Friday (and from past experience, there’s no point waiting — the discounts don’t increase). I got this sweater for Sam, this sweater for my sister, and these HeatTech leggings and socks for myself.
Everything old is new again: Typewriters are having a renaissance. (Aliza: Oh, this could work for me. I always write my essays long-hand first.)
And for our theater heads, the (fascinating) week in the life of a Broadway stage manager. (Gift link.)
I love my new earrings! They’re currently $50 off (you have to add them to cart to see the discount.) (I always use these clever backs to make earrings as light as possible.)

Need a last-minute side dish for Thanksgiving? Personally, I’d be thrilled to see braised chard and/or cheesy smashed potatoes on our table.
Retail expert
always has the latest scoop on cool fashion collabs — like Madewell x Leset (pointelle heaven) and the sexy second drop of Madewell x Alexa Chung. (Aja: This skirt from drop one is one of my favorite purchases of 2024.) And most things at Madewell are already 40% off for Black Friday!1 I’m going to live in this sweater over the winter.I was shocked there were several movies on New York Magazine’s 25 best romantic comedies that I haven’t seen. Going to start catching up with my family over the holidays.
Putting this gift idea on your radar, especially for those in your life who have a bunch of weddings to attend next year or are pregnant/newly postpartum: Nuuly has gift cards.
I’m captivated by the reporting on this new Goop-esque wellness retreat meets business conference — especially the photos.
Question we asked our friends:
I (Aja) am so sad that read-it-later app Omnivore is shutting down. Over the past few years, I’d built a pretty elaborate system for using it to save links.
I’m curious… How do you save things to read/come back to later? Do you bookmark them? Pin them? Text them to yourself?
Have a good week — and come back on Thursday, we have a fun surprise!!

Madewell runs plenty of 30% off sales year-round — but I’m pretty sure this is the best deal you can get. One thing I wanted already sold out!
For saving articles for later, do you have a Kindle? This has been a game-changer for me, I use it every day! https://www.pushtokindle.com/
Great issue as always! I use the Pocket app to save my links! - LM
