Happy Monday! Love the links, as always. Currently reading: We Were the Universe by Kimberly King Parsons. It's sarcastic, funny, emotional, and...horny? "A fearless exploration of sisterhood, motherhood, friendship, marriage, psychedelics, and the many strange, transcendent shapes love can take."
ooh maybe this is my sign to finally get that book! I feel like I keep seeing everyone talking about it, and I'm in need of some good reading for some trips coming up!
@ Aja, I also exclusively eat from bowl plates! - Bowl plates are the superior plate. On the reading front I'm reading Anita de Monte Laughs last and I'm enthralled by it.
Enthralled! What a wonderful word. S, did you read Olga Dies Dreaming? I couldn't get into it and so I haven't picked up Anita. But maybe I should reconsider...
I have not picked that one up. I picked yp this one up because the story is loosely based on a podcast I listened to and loved, and that drew me to it. I can't recommend this one enough.
I'm revisiting Mary Oliver's poetry and just read Oh, the places you'll go! to my daughter and it almost brought me to tears. Love love love bowl plates!
Bowl plates for life! I equate the preference to my desire for all my food to be kinda saucy, thus needing some high edges on my plate!
I too love a lot of sauce - bowl plates forever!
Wow, okay, I hadn't made the sauce connection before, but I am *also* passionate about sauce!
Ah yes, team bowl plate here! 🙋♀️ They are the best. I read Happy Hour by Marlowe Granados a few weeks ago and it was such a surprise delight for me.
I loved Happy Hour! A bit reminiscent of Eve Babitz no?
I haven’t even heard of this! Added to the list.
Yes, I can totally see that!
team bowl plate rise up!

Currently devouring Yellowface by R.F. Kuang!
Emily Henry's new book was also a delightful kick-off to my summer reading
Ooohh, this has been on my list for too long! Love to hear you’re enjoying it.
so far, Summer Romance by Annabel Monaghan :)
I really liked that book!
Ohh, this looks really cute.
I need to get out of my reading rut!!!!

Such a bad influence - Olivia Muenter. It was thrilling and unputdownable! Got me out of a reading rut for sure!!
Ah amazing, was just about to pickup Olivia’s book the other day! I love a debut novel and I love a thriller.
Humor Me by Cat Shook! It comes out July 9 - couldn’t recommend it more!!
I was delighted by Romantic Comedy so very intrigued by this one.
I just started All Fours by Miranda July and I absolutely love it.
I've heard there are some incredible lines in that one.
I think this is my next pick! I neeeed to fully appreciate what all the buzz is about this summer.

Love love love Mary Oliver, this is a good reminder for me to revisit her too.
Lady Tan’s Circle of Women by Lisa See
Ooh are you a big Lisa See fan Lace?
This is my first book of hers! Have you read her work??
I couldn’t put down Real Americans by Rachel Khong and have been recommending it to everyone!
Next up I’m looking forward to reading the new Claire Lombardo (Same As It Ever Was) and Girls by Kirsty Capes
Rachel Khong is SO talented. Aliza and I were going to see her read and then... I mixed up the dates. Next time!
Glad you enjoyed :)
I just finished Long Island by Colm Toibin sequel to Brooklyn.
