What is bringing me joy: simplifying my travel prep/planning!!! I normally try to search through insta posts I've saved; text messages from friends; conde nast traveler archives; and *more* before I travel to sketch out a loose itinerary. This process had started to feel like a chore, especially now that I have a child. Instead, this weekend, I printed out @yolointel's black book for CDMX, highlighted all the spots that spoke to me (had my husband do the same) and voila, we're done!!! And we still have plenty of time leftover for the random and serendipitous. There is something joyful about pre-collated recommendations and putting your trust in a single source. (Obviously anticipating our trip is also bringing me joy.)
The new New York Times audio app is bringing me so much joy!!!! It's great for listening to articles, not just from the Times but other outlets like GQ, the New Yorker, Texas Monthly. Worth a download.
The grab bag tip is a game changer for baby/kids stuff too. I have a nappy change and change of clothes one which is always ready then no spending ages to get stuff ready to go.
The Tourist and Girls5Eva are both so good! My husband just binge-watched both seasons of The Tourist when I was out of town this weekend (on my rec, natch!!) - how do the Sams feel about it?!
Aliza, I also just started watching Girls5Eva and can't believe I hadn't heard anything about it til it came to Netflix! And 100% support the roller rink idea, one near us has adult nights and they are so much fun!

Thank you so much for the mention and for The Tourist reco --- Can't wait to start binging that!
If I had a rollerskating rink nearby, I would be there every Friday like it's 1996 again.
🌸 All the blooming cherry blossom trees (and spring in general)🌸
My friend just told me about the SAME roller skating night last week!! Sounds so fun!

Gola sneakers are excellent! I have the ones with rainbow stripes.

if you like girls5eva you’ll LOVE working moms! it’s 7 seasons, but so binge watch-able.
Oh I feel so famous and wise now. 😌 Joy: it's iced latte season!!!!!
Fellow chronic nail-bed/cuticle picker here- thanks for the hydrogel rec! Also intrigued by the essay, sounds relatable 😅
