Hey! It’s Aja. How was your weekend? I got coffee with my sister and played candle-pin bowling with Sam and his family… plus squeezed in multiple episodes of Couple’s Therapy and Hacks. Scroll down for the links we’ve been sending lately.

At the risk of oversharing, there was a monster blooming on my forehead last week. I tried a Starface microdart patch (specifically intended for early-stage spots), and it shriveled the monster to a tiny, no-longer-throbbing speck. I’ve already re-upped.
Why gut kitchen renovations are out, by . I’m jazzed about this from an environmental, financial, and vibes POV.
Love these vintage-feeling art prints, which are great for kids and adults IMO. (Aliza: Just added several to cart!)
Our friends Mike and Kim always make the best dinners… this panzanella salad with burrata was a recent highlight (as Mike said, “my kinda salad.”)
Wow, of course Dolly Parton1 gives away millions of children’s books every month. See if your kid is eligible for a free book (and/or get involved.)
Bringing back these Janji shorts for summer — they’re ultra-comfortable, ultra-flattering, and ultra-lightweight.

Speaking of Dolly… sign up to stay in the know with me when tickets to her upcoming Broadway musical become available.
A great interview with the director of Babes, which Aja and I saw last week. I laughed, I cried. (Mostly happy tears.)
Are visors the new dad cap? Asking for a friend. ;) (Aja: This visor, yes. Most visors, no.)
Don’t sleep on Patagonia store credit for worn items. Last week, I got $20 back for a sweater I’d hardly worn in years — which I promptly put towards cool shorts (and a few Father’s Day gifts for Sam).
Clicked on nearly all of these links curated by — especially love this colorful beaded necklace.

Newsletter we sent our friends:
Last summer, I slid into the DMs of Lilly Milman — one half of the team behind the biweekly culture newsletter — to say I loved her writing, and did she want to get coffee sometime? We met in Harvard Square a week later. Despite being near-perfect strangers, we talked without pause for two-plus hours, about friendship, reality TV, the media landscape, and working in tech. A year and countless dinners later, I’m lucky to consider her a close friend.
But even if we weren’t, This Is Why! would be one of my favorite newsletters. Lilly and her best friend and writing partner, Melinda Fakuade, are incredible writers: funny, incisive, and fluent in culture. This Is Why! is a love letter to their friendship and home to essays, cultural analysis, recommendations, and more. Start with Lizzie McGuire, You Are An Outfit Repeater!, The Wedding Issue: Maid of Honor Edition, and That Body Of Yours Is Absurd.
Question we asked our friends:
What are you excited for summer-wise? My short-list:
That first plate of fried calamari, ideally eaten on a picnic table with a fountain Diet Coke
Roadside flower stands
Rotating between the same three pairs of shorts
Give us some inspo for an upcoming summer bucket list…

If Dolly Parton has two fans, it’s me and Aliza. If she has zero fans, something terrible has happened to us.
love the link about kitchens - when i moved into my house I thought I'd gut it but more and more, I am like this doesn't need it.
This is a good reminder to finally make a panzanella salad
